The New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC) is preparing for its official opening in February 2026, with SkyCity Entertainment Group moving in. The $750 million project, located in Auckland, aims to redefine New Zealand's business events landscape
with world-class facilities capable of hosting over 4,000 delegates. A formal blessing ceremony was conducted by Ngati Whatua Orakei to lift sacredness from the building. The NZICC will host a variety of events, from global summits to intimate meetings, and is expected to attract 33,000 international delegates annually.

The opening of the NZICC is a significant development for New Zealand's economy, expected to contribute approximately $90 million in new economic spend each year.
