Hilton Austin has announced the appointment of Mark Dayanandan as its new executive chef. Chef Mark returns to the 801-room downtown property, which he helped open in 2003, bringing over 40 years of culinary experience across six countries and various
hotel brands. Previously, he led the hotel's culinary team for 12 years. In his new role, Chef Mark will oversee the hotel's banquet and culinary operations, including events for up to 1,760 seated guests, and manage the Cannon + Belle and Austin Taco Project restaurants. His global culinary perspective is shaped by his international experience and leadership roles in Germany, Belgium, and Norway. Chef Mark is known for his work on high-profile stages, including the Grammy Awards, and has served distinguished clientele such as former U.S. presidents and members of the British Royal Family.
