Carol M. Crain, a beloved special education teacher and community member, passed away on November 2, 2025, at the age of 85. She is survived by her children and grandchildren, and predeceased by her husband, Bill Crain. Carol was known for her dedication
to education, having worked as a special education teacher in Penn Yan, New York, and as a Sunday school teacher. Her love for family and community was evident in her involvement with the Family Nurturing Program and her famous Christmas cookies, which she shared widely. A memorial service is planned for the spring at Third Presbyterian Church, and she will be interred at Lakeview Cemetery in Penn Yan.
