Hartford HealthCare and K Health have launched PatientGPT, a new artificial intelligence tool designed to serve as a '24/7 AI bridge' to healthcare teams. This tool aims to provide personalized education and guidance by utilizing patients' data and secure
access to medical records to answer health-related questions. PatientGPT is part of a broader effort to make healthcare more consumer-centric, as stated by Hartford HealthCare President and CEO Jeff Flaks. The tool allows users to access plain-language lab results, ask health-related questions, identify potential medication interactions, and schedule in-person visits. It is currently in beta testing for patients aged 18 and older in Connecticut.
