What's Happening?
Boeing has been awarded a $1.1 billion contract by the UK Ministry of Defence to provide long-term maintenance and support for Apache and Chinook helicopters. This Rotary Wing Enterprise contract aims to unify support services for both fleets, streamlining
operations and improving maintenance processes. The agreement is expected to sustain approximately 700 jobs within Boeing Defence UK and support an additional 500 jobs across the UK supply chain. The contract also includes plans to increase apprenticeship numbers by up to 50 over the next three years.
