McClatchy High School in Sacramento has introduced its first-ever school anthem, thanks to the efforts of senior student MaryEllen Crump. The anthem was performed during the school's homecoming rally, marking a historic moment for the oldest high school in Sacramento. MaryEllen Crump, who has achieved numerous accolades during her time at McClatchy, including being a Varsity Basketball Section Champion and a four-year Air Force ROTC participant, wrote and performed the anthem. Her achievements also include being a Junior Prom Queen, Military Ball Princess, Homecoming Queen, and maintaining a four-year Honor Roll status.
