Priority Health, a nonprofit health plan serving over 1.3 million members, has announced the inclusion of Boulder Care in its provider network for commercial members. Boulder Care, established in 2017, specializes in telehealth services for substance use disorder (SUD). This partnership aims to enhance Priority Health's behavioral health network and support services. Boulder Care offers 24/7 access to appointment scheduling and a multidisciplinary care team, including clinicians, nurses, peer recovery specialists, case managers, care navigators, and advocates. Members can receive medications for opioid use disorder, such as Suboxone. The initiative addresses the significant need for SUD treatment, as only a quarter of those requiring treatment received it nationally in 2023. Boulder Care will be available to all Priority Health commercial adult members starting January 1, 2026.
