Cecelia Carol Mills, a dedicated educator and community member, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on April 22, 1941, in Gainesville, NY, Cecelia pursued a career in education
after graduating from Buffalo State College with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She furthered her studies at SUNY Geneseo and spent her career teaching home economics at Keshequa Central School in Nunda, NY, and later as a remedial reading teacher in Dalton. Her passion for music and theatre was evident through her involvement in school musicals. Cecelia was a devoted member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist in East Rochester, NY, and the Eastern Star chapter in Fillmore, NY. In 1993, she married Charles Mills, and they shared many boating adventures. Cecelia enjoyed gardening, baking with her grandchildren, antiquing, and collecting dolls. She is survived by her husband, children, stepchildren, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and siblings. A celebration of her life will be held in the spring, with details to be announced.
