Dialog Axiata, a leading telecommunications provider in Sri Lanka, has significantly expanded its 5G network, now covering over 800 sites across 24 districts. This expansion marks a rapid growth from the initial 220 sites at the launch three months ago.
The company has extended its network to areas including Ratnapura, Monaragala, and Hambantota, claiming the fastest 5G network growth in the country. Dialog Axiata launched its 5G services in December 2025, following spectrum acquisition from the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka. The company has also set up 'experience zones' to showcase 5G capabilities, such as VR cycling and smart city applications.
