David Petschke has been appointed to the St. Charles City Council to fill a vacancy in Ward 3 following the resignation of Bob Gehm. Petschke, a 12-year resident of St. Charles, currently serves as the chief financial and administrative officer for the Kane
County Forest Preserve District. His appointment was made by Mayor Clint Hull and supported by the City Council. Petschke was selected from a pool of 10 applicants after a review process that included interviews with four finalists. He will serve the remainder of the term through April 2027.
