Jacobs, in a joint venture with Bowen Collins & Associates, has been selected by the Central Utah Water Conservancy District for a $750 million contract. This project, known as the Strawberry High Line Improvement Project, aims to modernize the historic
Strawberry High Line Canal. The canal, originally built around 1916 as part of the Strawberry Valley Project, currently transports water from Strawberry Reservoir and the Spanish Fork River for both agricultural and municipal use. The modernization effort will involve replacing the existing open-water canal with a buried, pressurized pipeline system. Jacobs and its partner will provide design and construction-phase support for the new pipeline, a pump station, and other related infrastructure. This upgrade is designed to enhance water delivery capabilities for agricultural users and the expanding communities in south Utah County and eastern Juab County.
