An individual was airlifted to a hospital after being pulled unconscious from the Payette River along Highway 55 following a rafting incident. The Valley County Sheriff's Office reported that deputies and first responders were dispatched to the scene,
where an off-duty Boise firefighter provided initial first aid. The highway was temporarily closed to allow a Life Flight helicopter to land and transport the individual. The current condition of the person is unknown, and the highway has since reopened.
