The United Arab Emirates celebrated the New Year 2026 by acknowledging the contributions of over 300,000 workers across the country. The celebrations, organized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) along with various government
and private sector partners, took place at more than 30 sites. The events were unified under the slogan 'With You and Through You, We Step into the New Year,' emphasizing the workforce's critical role in national advancement. Activities included competitive events, prize draws, stage entertainment, traditional dances, and gift distributions. Key contributors to the events included federal and local authorities such as the Ministry of Interior, the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security, and police headquarters in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah. Private sector companies like Sobha Constructions and Granada Europe Construction LLC also participated, showcasing a strong commitment to worker welfare.
