Ronald F. Pettinger, a resident of Glenview and a proud veteran of the United States Army, passed away on February 2, 2026, surrounded by his family. Pettinger served his country during the Vietnam War with honor and dedication. He was the beloved husband
of the late Perleene Pettinger for 30 years and a loving father to John and James Pettinger. He was also a cherished grandfather, a devoted partner to Pam Nelson, and a fond brother to Jeanine Johnson and David Pettinger. Known for his avid love of golf, Pettinger found joy on the course and in the friendships he cultivated. He was deeply supportive of others, often prioritizing the needs of those around him. Above all, he was devoted to his family, cherishing every moment spent together. Visitation is scheduled for February 6, with a Funeral Mass on February 7 at St. Catherine Laboure in Glenview. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
