What's Happening?
The Springfield-Greene County Library District has initiated a comprehensive study to assess the condition and future needs of its 10 facilities. This initiative is part of the library's strategic plan for 2026-2030, aiming to enhance the aesthetic and functional
aspects of its spaces. Paragon Architecture has been selected to conduct this assessment following a request for proposals issued in October 2025. The study will evaluate both owned and leased facilities to identify short- and long-term maintenance requirements, estimate costs, and determine necessary capital improvements. Additionally, the study will include a footprint assessment and a population trend analysis to guide future growth opportunities. The findings are expected to be presented to the library's board of trustees by late spring.
