The SUU/BZI Youth Engineering Academy, a collaborative initiative between BZI and Southern Utah University, is making significant strides in promoting STEM education among K-12 students. Since its inception in 2023, the academy has reached over 2,500
students, offering a diverse curriculum that includes public safety, health professions, welding, and automotive subjects. The program, which runs for eight weeks, integrates art into chemistry, biology, and engineering courses, and has seen a notable participation of girls, who make up over 34% of attendees. BZI has committed to supporting the academy for another three years, emphasizing its role in fostering future innovators in STEM fields.
