The Bisciotti Family Foundation has pledged up to $3 million in scholarships and support for 40 students at Morgan State University. This renewed investment will bolster the Ozzie Newsome Scholars Program, named in honor of former football player and Baltimore
Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome. The program, established in 2021 with an initial $4 million commitment from Steve and Rennee Bisciotti, aims to provide scholarships to graduates of Baltimore City Public Schools attending Maryland's Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Morgan State University will award scholarships of $15,000 annually for up to five years, totaling as much as $75,000 per scholar. This eight-year grant, spanning from 2026 through 2033, will fund scholarships for 10 students in each of the next four incoming classes. Since its inception, the program has supported 80 Maryland HBCU students, including 20 at Morgan State, with the university celebrating its first two graduates from the program in May 2025.
