What's Happening?
November's supermoon, the brightest full moon of 2025, will be visible on the nights of November 4 and 5. Known as the Beaver Moon, it will reach peak illumination at 8:19 a.m. ET on November 5. The moon will appear
almost full from November 3 to November 8. This supermoon occurs when the moon is at its closest point to Earth, known as perigee, making it appear larger and brighter.
Why It's Important?
The supermoon provides an excellent opportunity for public engagement with astronomy, encouraging people to observe and appreciate the night sky. It also serves as a reminder of the moon's influence on Earth, including its effects on tides. The event can inspire interest in space science and foster a greater understanding of celestial mechanics.
