Los Amigos de la Comunidad is organizing a public event titled 'El Movimiento Celebracion' on March 28 in Brawley, California, to honor the contributions and progress of the agricultural farmworker community. The event will take place on Main Street in the Plaza
Park area from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. and will feature various family-friendly activities, including youth boxing and lucha libre wrestling. A march from Hinojosa Park to the Plaza stage will be part of the festivities, accompanied by musical performances from Los Lobos de la Barra and Thee East Side Band. Dr. Daniel G. Ortiz, Jr., a prominent figure in healthcare education, will receive the El Movimiento Recognition for his contributions to the community.
