What's Happening?
A group of American high school students, including 18-year-old Nadav from New York, chose to remain in Israel during the ongoing conflict with Iran to assist local farmers. The students were initially in Israel as part of a post-college application trip
when the war broke out. While many of their peers returned to the United States, Nadav and approximately 60 others decided to stay and volunteer with Hiburim B’Haklaut, an agricultural nonprofit. Their efforts focused on helping farmers who faced labor shortages due to the war, as many workers were called into reserve duty. The students' involvement included tasks such as clearing fields of weeds, which was crucial for maintaining food production during the conflict.
