ALKEME Insurance, a national broker, has announced the acquisition of Gorges & Company, Inc., a full-service insurance agency based in Timonium, Maryland. Founded in 1937, Gorges & Co. offers a comprehensive
range of insurance services, including employee benefits, business and personal property/casualty, nonprofit solutions, and Medicare. The agency is known for its expertise in serving specialized markets such as high-value personal lines clients, apartment complexes, condominium associations, spas, salons, wellness centers, independent contractors, and nonprofit organizations. Curtis Barton, CEO of ALKEME, highlighted that the acquisition will bolster ALKEME’s presence on the East Coast and enhance its resources and specialized offerings nationwide. Since its inception in 2020, ALKEME has completed over 70 acquisitions and operates from more than 60 locations across 29 states.
