What's Happening?
The Luftwaffe's Heron TP unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) made its public flying debut at the ILA Berlin Airshow, held from June 10 to 14, 2026. This event marked a significant milestone for the German Heron TP (GHTP), which had its maiden flight in German airspace
in May 2024. Operated by Airbus Defence and Space, the UAV is equipped with advanced intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities, including electro-optic/infrared sensors and imaging radar systems.
