Prometheus Energetics, a joint venture between Kratos Defense & Security Solutions and RAFAEL Advanced Defense Systems, has commenced construction on a new solid rocket motor manufacturing campus in Bloomfield, Indiana. This development is part of a strategic
effort to address the growing gap in the U.S. production of solid rocket motors and energetics, which poses a national security risk. The new facility, spanning approximately 600 acres, will support four production lines capable of producing up to 800 tons of energetics annually. The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by government leaders, industry partners, and local officials, highlighting the broad support for this initiative. The campus is designed to enhance domestic production capacity, ensuring the U.S. can meet increasing demands for advanced munitions.
