BAE Systems Partners with Forterra for Autonomous AMPV Development

A demonstration of this new capability is scheduled for 2026. BAE Systems has been working on a new AMPV to replace the M113 vehicle family, which has been in service with the US Army since 1960. In March 2024, BAE Systems delivered an AMPV prototype to the US Army for evaluation.
