Boeing has been awarded a $75 million Undefinitized Contract Action by the U.S. Air Force to begin the initial production of the Joint Direct Attack Munition Long Range (JDAM LR). This contract involves the acquisition of the BSU-111/B Payload Delivery
Unit (PDU), which will provide the U.S. Navy with a precision-strike capability. The JDAM LR system is designed to travel over 300 nautical miles while carrying a 500-pound payload. The system has already completed its first flight tests off the coast of California in April 2026.
