The Kansas Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom (KFAC) has been honored with the 2026 Excellence in Conservation and Environmental Education Award by the Kansas Association for Conservation and Environmental Education (KACEE). This recognition
highlights KFAC's innovative and collaborative efforts in promoting agricultural and environmental education across Kansas. For over 40 years, KFAC has been instrumental in connecting students with Kansas's agricultural heritage and enhancing their understanding of conservation and environmental stewardship. The foundation provides a standards-based curriculum and hands-on learning opportunities that reach all 105 counties in Kansas. KFAC's initiatives include distributing classroom kits to over 810 schools, impacting more than 5,000 teachers and 200,000 students. The organization also received the National Agriculture in the Classroom Innovative Program Award in 2025 for its Clickable Kansas County Map, a tool that links educators with local agricultural resources.
