Christie's King Street has launched a scholarly volume titled 'The Significance of Jade in China’s Culture, History and Art,' alongside a loan exhibition featuring highlights from the Woolf Collection
of Chinese Jades. The publication, edited by Kate Hunt, includes essays from six specialists exploring jade's role in Chinese history, focusing on its craftsmanship, spiritual symbolism, imperial taste, and moral philosophy. The exhibition showcases 20 exceptional works from the Woolf Collection, assembled by Sir John Woolf, including intricately carved Qing table screens and ritual vessels.
