have reported severe health issues due to rising temperatures exacerbated by poor working conditions. CRI's investigation revealed that indoor temperatures in factories often exceed outdoor heat, worsened by machinery and lack of ventilation. In response, CRI and 44 organizations urged the International Accord to include climate-related hazards in its safety protocols. The Accord has agreed to treat heat stress as a workplace safety risk, marking a significant shift in its mandate.
