By early next year, Fortescue expects to complete 290 MW of installed renewable capacity to support its ore processing facilities, enabling daytime green processing across its Pilbara operations. The company aims to power all operations without fossil fuels by the end of 2028, aligning with its Real Zero target. The project includes 1.2 GW of solar capacity, over 600 MW of wind generation, and 4-5 GWh of battery energy storage.
