What's Happening?
Kearney High School hosted an Academy Day event, organized by the Office of U.S. Senator Josh Hawley, on a Saturday morning. Approximately 150 people, representing about 50 families from across the region, attended the event in the KHS Field House. The
purpose of Academy Day was to inform students and families about opportunities available through the nation's service academies and related military programs. Attendees had the chance to hear directly from academy and military representatives, learn about the application and congressional nomination processes, and engage in one-on-one conversations at information tables. Staff members from Senator Hawley's office, U.S. Senator Eric Schmitt, and U.S. Representative Sam Graves were present, describing the event as a significant success.
