Hensoldt and Indra Group have initiated live testing of the European Common Radar System (ECRS) Mk1 Step 1 for German and Spanish Eurofighter combat aircraft. Announced on June 5, 2026, the testing marks a significant step in equipping these national
fleets with advanced electronically scanned (E-Scan) radar technology. The ECRS Mk1, also known as Captor-E, represents a major upgrade from the previous Captor-M radar, featuring enhanced capabilities for detecting and tracking targets.
