The Atlanta Hawks have reached an agreement with guard Dyson Daniels on a four-year, $100 million rookie contract extension. This decision follows Daniels' impressive performance last season, where he earned
the NBA’s Most Improved Player of the Year award and was named to the NBA’s All-Defensive team. Daniels was also the runner-up for Defensive Player of the Year, finishing the season with 229 steals, the most in a season since Gary Payton in 1995-96. The 22-year-old averaged career highs of 14.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 4.4 assists, along with three steals per game, a feat not achieved since Alvin Robertson in 1990-91.
