The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Jordan has issued a call for proposals, inviting organizations to submit plans for a skilling certification project. This initiative aims to enhance employability and income-generating opportunities for both
host communities and Syrian refugees residing in the Irbid and Ajloun Governorates of Jordan. The selected organizations can receive up to USD 172,000 to implement market-driven training, work-based learning, job placement, entrepreneurship support, and private-sector engagement. The project duration is set for a maximum of five months, with all activities to be completed by March 15, 2027. This project is part of the Local Economic Development (LED) Programme, which is funded by the European Union and implemented by UNDP, focusing on inclusive local economic growth and resilience in the specified regions. The program emphasizes high-potential sectors such as tourism and agriculture.
