KUNC News has been awarded four regional Edward R. Murrow Awards for its journalistic work in 2025. These prestigious awards, backed by the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA), recognize
excellence in journalism. KUNC's achievements include awards for a news series on nuclear energy in rural Colorado, sports reporting on Nordic Combined athletes, and their local Morning Edition newscast. The station also received the Overall Excellence award for the second consecutive year. KUNC President & CEO Tammy Terwelp expressed pride in the team's dedication to community service, especially in light of recent funding challenges.
