What's Happening?
An evacuation order has been issued by the Regional Districts of Okanagan-Similkameen and Central Okanagan, the District of Summerland, and Penticton Indian Band due to the Bald Range Wildfire. Residents in affected areas, including Summerland and Faulder,
are advised to evacuate immediately to designated centers in Penticton and West Kelowna. Highway 97 is closed from Antlers Beach to Pyramid Picnic Area, and forest service roads should not be used. The wildfire poses a significant risk to life, prompting urgent evacuation measures.
