Texas Tech University's Student Legal Services (SLS) provides legal advice, counsel, and limited representation to eligible students enrolled at Texas Tech University and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. These services cover a range of common

Eligibility for these services is contingent upon being a registered student who has paid the Student Service Fee. The SLS is staffed by licensed attorneys, and client confidentiality is strictly maintained, meaning case information will not be released to third parties without the student's authorization. While some matters, such as employment law, immigration, and contested family cases, are handled through consultation only, SLS can also provide referrals to private attorneys or outside agencies when appropriate.
