Darius S. Francescatti, a respected surgeon and lawyer, passed away peacefully at his home on March 4, 2026, at the age of 85. Born in 1940 in Chicago, Francescatti served in the United States Air Force from 1959 to 1965. He earned his Bachelor of Science
and Doctor of Medicine degrees from Loyola University Chicago and a Juris Doctor degree from DePaul University College of Law. Francescatti had a distinguished career as a general surgeon at Resurrection Medical Center and later specialized in breast cancer surgery at Rush University Medical Center until his retirement in 2020. He is survived by his wife, Janet, six children, and two grandchildren. Visitation services are scheduled for March 8 and 9, 2026, in Barrington, Illinois.
