What's Happening?
Six Senses has announced the appointment of André Buldini as the Cluster General Manager for its Milan and Rome locations. Buldini brings over two decades of international luxury hospitality experience to the brand's expanding Italian portfolio. He has previously
led flagship hotel openings across Six Senses and Four Seasons, most recently managing Six Senses Douro Valley, a leading wellness retreat in Europe. Buldini's expertise in operations and cultural fluency will be instrumental as he takes on the role of leading two significant European projects for Six Senses. The Milan location, set to open in late 2026, will feature 69 rooms and suites, a sky-high bar, a specialty restaurant, and a Six Senses Spa, all designed to celebrate Milanese craftsmanship and culture.
Why It's Important?
The appointment of André Buldini is significant for Six Senses as it continues to expand its presence in Europe, particularly in Italy, a key market for luxury hospitality. Buldini's leadership is expected to enhance the brand's reputation for delivering exceptional guest experiences, which is crucial in maintaining competitive advantage in the luxury hotel sector. The Milan project, with its focus on wellness and local culture, aligns with current trends in hospitality that emphasize unique and culturally immersive experiences. This expansion could attract more international visitors to Milan and Rome, boosting local economies and reinforcing Italy's status as a premier destination for luxury travel.
What's Next?
With the Milan location set to open in late 2026, Six Senses will likely focus on finalizing construction and design elements that reflect Milanese culture and craftsmanship. Buldini's role will involve overseeing these developments and ensuring that the brand's wellness-driven approach is integrated into the guest experience. As the opening date approaches, Six Senses may ramp up marketing efforts to attract high-end travelers and establish partnerships with local artisans and businesses to enhance the hotel's cultural offerings.
