Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) has officially opened its expanded Workforce Training Center, a $9.8 million facility that enhances the college's capacity to offer hands-on training in a cleanroom environment. The expansion increases the facility's size by over 50 percent, now totaling 65,700 square feet. This development allows RVCC to offer programs in biomanufacturing, electric vehicle technology, mechatronics and robotics, and welding. The centerpiece of the expansion is the Aseptic Biomanufacturing program, featuring a biotechnology lab and cleanroom. The program was developed in collaboration with major biopharmaceutical companies such as Johnson & Johnson and Merck. The expansion also includes the NJBioFutures coalition, aimed at creating a talent pipeline for New Jersey's cell and gene therapeutics sector.
