George A. Kreke, a resident of Whitehall, MI, passed away on May 4, 2026, at the age of 79. Born in Chicago, Kreke served in the United States Marine Corps and later worked in the telecommunications industry,
contributing to the construction of the Sears Tower. He was an avid athlete, participating in marathons and ultra-marathons, and served as a beloved Scoutmaster in his community. Kreke is survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren. His funeral will be held on May 16, 2026, at St. James Catholic Church in Montague, MI.
