Hilton has announced the opening of the Waldorf Astoria Shanghai Qiantan, marking the brand's second property in Shanghai. Located in the Qiantan District of Pudong, this new development is situated on the southern stretch of Shanghai's new Bund, opposite
the Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund across the Huangpu River. The hotel features 204 rooms and suites, some of which include outdoor jacuzzis with views of the Shanghai skyline. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and Cheng Chung Design, the hotel incorporates elements inspired by Shanghai's Art Deco heritage. Dining options include Arame, serving modern European cuisine, and Fu Cheng, led by Michelin-starred chef Justin Yang, focusing on Min cuisine. The hotel also offers the Starlight room, a reservation-only chef’s table with an open kitchen and private terrace. Additional amenities include a 25-meter indoor heated pool, a 24-hour fitness center, and four private treatment rooms.
