A wingtip from a WWII fighter plane flown by Richard Bong, known as the 'ace of aces', has been returned to Wisconsin from Papua New Guinea. The artifact, part of the plane named 'Marge', was recovered by the Wisconsin National Guard and the Richard I Bong Veterans
Historical Center. Bong, a celebrated pilot, shot down 40 enemy aircraft during the war. The wingtip's return is part of a collaborative effort with Pacific Wrecks to preserve historical artifacts and inspire future generations.
