What's Happening?
Volkswagen Group has engaged Italdesign, an Audi subsidiary, to create a design concept for an electric coupe, known as the EVX Project. This initiative is a design exercise aimed at exploring possibilities on the MEB+ platform, which is primarily intended for front-wheel-drive vehicles. The EVX coupe, although not planned for production, showcases a 2+2 configuration and is set to debut next year alongside other products like the ID.2 Polo GTI. The design features a coupe-like crossover style, reminiscent of the Toyota C-HR, and measures 166.5 inches long, 71.6 inches wide, and 58.6 inches tall. Despite its intriguing design, Volkswagen has not disclosed any details about the powertrain for the EVX, which remains a conceptual model displayed as a hologram at the IAA Mobility show in Munich.
