The New Model Institute for Technology and Engineering (NMITE) in Hereford has partnered with the UK Armed Forces to launch a new undergraduate degree focused on training 'drone warfare specialists.' The course,
set to begin in September 2026, will emphasize autonomous systems and drone technologies. This initiative aims to enhance the capabilities of the British Army by equipping students with the skills necessary to innovate in drone technology for defense, as well as civilian and humanitarian applications. The program will culminate in a Masters in Engineering (MEng) degree over three years.
