What's Happening?
West Ham United has inaugurated 'The Foundry', a new state-of-the-art Foundation headquarters located in Beckton, Newham, east London. This facility is designed to significantly expand the club's community outreach, impacting over 60,000 individuals each year
through 35 dedicated programs. These initiatives, which include Premier League Primary Stars, Premier League Kicks, and Premier League Inspires, aim to support education, employment, physical and mental health, and social inclusion. The Foundry also features health and wellbeing spaces, an outdoor gym, and a kitchen and cafe, with profits directed towards providing free meals for those in need. The project is supported by a £1.5 million grant from the Premier League, FA, and Government’s Football Foundation, with additional funding for a 3G pitch. The opening ceremony was attended by West Ham United vice-chair Baroness Karren Brady and Premier League Chief Executive Richard Masters.
