A stunning murmuration of birds was captured at the Otmoor Nature Reserve in Oxfordshire, England, as the first full moon of 2026, known as the Wolf Moon, rose in the background. Photographer Zoe Broughton documented the event, which featured thousands
of starlings performing synchronized aerial displays against the backdrop of the rising moon. The Wolf Moon is traditionally named for the howling of wolves during this time of year. This particular full moon is the fourth consecutive supermoon, following the Harvest Moon, Beaver Moon, and Cold Moon.
