Elinor (Elly) Nicholas, a beloved member of the Rochester, NY community, passed away on April 20, 2026, at the age of 88. Known for her active involvement in her church and community, Elly was a native of Rochester and spent much of her life contributing
to local initiatives. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Robert, and is survived by her sons, Eric and Jeff, along with their families. Elly was a graduate of Webster Central High School and worked as a medical secretary at the Kodak Park Medical Department before dedicating her life to her family and community service. She was instrumental in starting a wellness center for seniors at the Incarnate Word Lutheran Church in Rochester and volunteered for a charity that provided rides for seniors. Her funeral service is scheduled for May 7, 2026, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Pittsford, NY.
