Hilleman Laboratories, in collaboration with the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI), is advancing the development and production of a Bundibugyo ebolavirus vaccine candidate for clinical trials. Utilizing the recombinant vesicular
stomatitis virus (rVSV) platform, the initiative aims to address the rising cases of Bundibugyo virus, which is becoming a humanitarian crisis. With up to $8.5 million in CEPI funding, Hilleman Laboratories will manufacture clinical supplies of the investigational vaccine, with plans to transfer the technology to a large-scale manufacturer if early trials succeed.
