What's Happening?
Lisa G. Roth, MD, a nationally recognized pediatric oncologist and lymphoma survivor, has been appointed as the director of the Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone. Dr. Roth, who previously studied
at NYU Langone Health, returns from Weill Cornell Medicine and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, where she led a research program focused on lymphomas affecting children, adolescents, and young adults. In her new role, Dr. Roth will oversee clinical care, research, and education programs, aiming to expand access to advanced therapies and clinical trials. Her work primarily focuses on lymphomas, including Hodgkin lymphoma, with the goal of developing more effective treatments. Dr. Roth succeeds Elizabeth A. Raetz, MD, who has transitioned to a new role as vice chair for clinical affairs in the Department of Pediatrics.
