Terence William Bartges Jr., a 22-year-old suspect wanted on narcotics charges, was apprehended in Dixie County, Florida, after fleeing from Gilchrist County deputies. The suspect evaded capture on Thursday by running into the woods near Trenton, prompting
a search involving multiple law enforcement agencies. The Gilchrist County Sheriff’s Office coordinated with the Dixie County Sheriff’s Office, Florida Highway Patrol, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, and K9 teams from Lancaster and Cross City Correctional Institutions to locate and arrest Bartges. The community was advised not to approach the suspect during the search.
